The Retezat National Park was declared by UNESCO a „biosphere natural area”, having 2% of flora endemic to Retezat alone. The Retezat Mountain was considered the most valuable mountain zone of Romania, an European interest natural area. It is the only romanian

Situata in Parcul National Retezat, Complexul Turistic Rausor, la o altitudinea de 1300m, Pensiunea Sarmis ofera alpinistilor, schiorilor, celor interesati in manastiri si asezamintele istorice din zona, sau celor care vor sa lase in urma poluarea orasului pentru a vedea lacurile glaciare si flora Retezatului o vacanta de neuitat.
